Last week, we did a consolidated post about the requests we closed. This is a follow up post on some more requests that Vidhyavruksha Foundation have been working very hard to close.
We would like to thank all our donors and sponsors for instilling faith in us and the kids we support.
The daughter of a welder, we verified this request a couple of years ago and enrolled Srilekha into our “Ezhuthukkal” program. We continue to support the dire needs of the family by paying their last term fees of Rs. 34,348/- for last academic year.
Social media today has expanded collaboration and this request from Bangalore is how far our work has reached through Social media. Sanjay’s parents reached out to us for help. We were able to verify this request thanks to our friends in Bangalore and help Sanjay get back to school by paying Rs. 17,000/- term fees.
We received a request to pay the pending dues for a Marine student whose parents were struggling to meet ends but were pinning their hopes on their son Santoshkumar to complete the GPR course at Coimbatore Marine college. The student had a job offer but could not join because CMC could not give him the certificate due to pending dues. Vidhyavruksha Foundation was able to close this request by paying Rs. 45,000/- due, thanks to our donors and sponsors.
Another request we helped last year was to pay a term fees of Rs. 20,500/- for Ritika Ishani last August. The family again reached out to us this year for help to pay last term fees as their financial woes continued. Vidhyavruksha Foundation was able to help Srilekha and family with Rs. 18,690/- fees for final term for last academic year.
With this, we have paid Rs. 1,16,848/- for the above requests and a total of Rs. 4,71,937/- from Jan – March 2022 being the Q1 of this year. As a foundation, we strongly believe the efforts we take, are helping to change the next generation of kids who can hopefully help improve the quality of their lives with the help of this education we aid.
